2008 Holiday Gift Basket Program
Thanks to our local Walmarts and the MPD!
PAL depends on the generosity and
support of a wide range of volunteers.
This time it was the members of our own MPD in conjunction with our
local Walmart's.

As in past years,
MPD
supported our local
children and families in need by participating in the
Shop with a Cop Program and the
Holiday Gift Baskets.
Officers, CSO’s and V-COPs brought delight to many families
who otherwise might not have food or gifts during the holiday
season. WAL-MART
continues their generosity
by funding this event and this year, a total of $3500 was granted.
We wish to acknowledge and thank
Fred Maine, Manager,
Kelley Bardella,
Assistant Manager, and Wendy
Simpson, Finance, for making this happen!
Additionally, the Melbourne
Police Athletic League
donated $500.
This means that 20 families will have a wonderful Holiday
dinner and another 15 families will enjoy presents under their
Christmas tree. The one
thing the entire project is comprised of is irreplaceable memories
and gifts that come from the hearts of all who participated.
