Melbourne PAL at Carver Park and the Greater Melbourne Police
Athletic League at the Grant Street Community Center received
donations of First Aid kits from the
Melbourne Police
Department. As children will be children, it is not
uncommon for them to have their encounters with bumps and scrapes.
Both centers were in desperate need of the first aid kits and the
Greater Melbourne Police Athletic League is grateful to the
Melbourne Police Department for the donations.

Melbourne is the
economic and financial center of Brevard County on Florida’s
fabulous Space Coast. The workday population is estimated to be
over 100,000. Melbourne’s sub-tropical climate attracts numerous
part-time residents and visitors, especially during the winter
months. Melbourne’s crime rates are relatively low for a city of
our size and the quality of life is unsurpassed.
The Police
Department is diversified with such specialties as S.W.A.T., Marine
Patrol, K-9, and School Resource Officers. Over 119,300 calls for
service are answered annually. If should you have any questions or
need further information, please call (321) 409-2200.
