The Greater Melbourne Police Athletic League (PAL) Basketball
Program is unique in that high school rules are utilized for all age
groups. This is true except for ball size for players in age
groups 10 and under (28.5 Women's NBA as opposed to 29.5 Men's NBA) and, in some
cases, a running clock. By allowing for full court presses,
both offensive and defensive zones as opposed to strictly man-to-man
play (as required by most "recreational" youth basketball leagues),
more advanced and fun play is allowed. This results in a
superior youth basketball program which consistently sweeps the
State of Florida Region 3 Championships, and an organization which
also perform wells at the state and national levels of play.
