Programs - Basketball - In The NewsFIT/PAL Award Basketball Camp Scholarships The Greater Melbourne Police Athletic League would like to extend its thanks to Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) Director of Athletic Partnerships Mr. John Thomas, Athletic Director Mr. William K. Jurgens, Jr., and Coach Billy Mims for working with PAL to make Summer Basketball Camp scholarships available to participants of the Melbourne PAL Summer Basketball Program. The scholarships were awarded by Melbourne PAL and FIT based primarily on player participation and attitude--as Coach Billy Mims reinforces in the conduct of his camps, "Attitude is Everything!" Our thanks go out also to Lynne Mims who assists Coach Mims in running the summer camps and working with the Police Athletic League, Melbourne PAL Basketball Director Lt. Vince Pryce, and Coach Mims' Coaching Staff.
